Why in the world am I blogging? I asked myself that question hundreds of times. I finally came up with the answer: I believe the information I'll be posting will answer some very important questions you may have. Information/questions about relationships of all kinds, business information for psychotherapists, suggestions for having a life that works, and about figuring out how to live a life that makes a difference. Anything else that I believe should be shared. Tall order, huh? That makes it even more exciting. I believe I'm finally up for the job now. I went a very long time believing that I basically wasn't up for anything. I don't believe that any more. I truly, really know a lot of stuff and I believe it's time to share it. Please know that none of this means I see my self as some guru. Look the word up. You'll see why that's not me.
Then who am I? Someone who believes it's time to share.
Whew, finished with first post. I wonder what the next one will be.
Almost forgot: I plan to have a lot of fun doing this. One thing that will increase my fun level is having absolutely no discernable consistency with the way this blog will look. I'm through trying to perfect things. I have good things to share. I plan to focus on that. Think content, not looks.
I like this quote so I'm going to share it with you:
“Take the first step in faith. You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.”
Dr. Martin Luther King
I just took the first step.
There are blacksmiths, wordsmiths, metalsmiths, all kinds of smiths. So why not a lifesmith? A smith is someone who forges something. How about we all learn to be our own lifesmiths and we *forge our lives into something we are happy and proud of? That's what we're going to do on this blog AND on http://www.drkarenmccleskey.com. *to move ahead steadily with determination; to persevere, advance; make progress. Ready? Then let's all take a deep breath and jump.
My Hope For You....
I sincerely hope that the information in this blog brings you much happiness, joy, and success.
Thank you so very much for being here.
